Ingredients:
– 1 pack of Crunch Pak PAW Patrol whole apples
– 6 to 9 soften dates pitted
– ½ cup melted Chocolate and/or Caramel
– 1tsp of coconut oil (optional, keeps chocolate from cracking)
– Top with crunch pistachios and/or nuts
– Wooden candy apple sticks or skewer
Directions:
– Line a cutting board or sheet pan with a piece of plastic wrap, followed by a sheet of parchment paper. Pit the dates and arrange them in a single layer, close together (a 3×3 square works well), in the center of the parchment paper.

– Wrap the Apple: Wash and thoroughly dry the apple. Remove the top parchment/plastic wrap, place the apple in the center of the dates, and use the bottom layer of plastic wrap to help fold the date layer up and around the apple. Press the dates firmly so they adhere to the apple entirely.
– Chill: Gently peel off the plastic wrap. Insert a wooden stick into the core of the date-covered apple. Place the apple in the freezer or fridge for 10-15 minutes to set the date layer.
– Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is smooth and fully melted.
– Coat the Apple: Dip the date-covered apple into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to cover it evenly. Lift the apple out and let the excess chocolate drip off.
– Add Toppings and Set: Immediately sprinkle your desired toppings over the melted chocolate so they stick. Place the coated apple on a new piece of parchment paper.
– Chill Again: Refrigerate for another 10-15 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
